about the author:
I’m a 24 years young underpaid copywriter/art director currently employed at a local advertising agency in Tucson , AZ. I don’t complain though since it’s been a learning process.
I’m fascinated by the world of advertising and it really annoys me that most local agencies and clients don’t really get it.
Of course, it’s your hard-earned money we are dealing with here, but “playing it safe” doesn’t necessarily means results. In fact, I believe it does the opposite.
What it’s missing here is the whole point of advertising:
- How credible is your business, when every other week you have the HUGHEST SALE?
Lets put it this way, do you think girls call the guy yelling his number at her across the bar, begging to call or do they show more interest in the one who confidently writes it on a napkin, drops it at her table and walks away.
My goal with simplinimal is to help you not to fall into the cluttered garbage advertising that people move from mailbox to trashcan. I truly want to help you stand out & make a statement. People don’t buy magazines to read ads (although i might be the exception).
